North State Songwriter Showcase

Shasta County Arts Council, 1313 Market St, Redding, CA

North State Songwriters will present a showcase of original music at Old City Hall Center for the Arts (1313 Market St) on November 16th, in conjunction with the opening of the new gallery exhibit: Artists on Market. From 5 - 8 PM, the upstairs ballroom will ring with the sound of original tunes. Beer and wine will be available.

On the bill: Still Married, with tunes that celebrate the landscape, the characters and the independent spirit of far Northern California. The Pine Dogz present rocking' country blues and Hal Johnson will share unique folky-tonk and dirt-road country. Ron Giesecke will bring his trusty cigar box guitar for tunes from "where highway 61 meets Emmaus Blvd." Enjoy upbeat songs about life from rising star Kristin Spence. Rounding out the bill, inspired by the rivers and mountains of Northern California, is Sara Crandell Hoxie.
